The Battle for Glory is here!
This Saturday, it's all about the championship and double prize money on a yet-to-be-announced track!
Preview
We're heading into the final race and the winners of both leagues are still unknown!
While there are only two options for the destination of the championship titles in the Racer and Challenger League, drivers and fans are still completely in the dark when it comes to the track on which the title fights will be decided.
The track will only be announced on race day.
The last two years, the RU team surprised everyone with the specially designed tracks at Zurich Airport and the Ascari Race Resort. So it will be interesting to see what will be pulled out of the hat this year.
Now let's take a look at the championship:
In the Racer League, three-time RU champion Michal Smidl is travelling to Munich with a 10-point lead in the bag. However, his rival, Alejandro Sanchez, a former RU Champion himself in 2021, has reduced the Czech's lead by 15 points in the last two races (Spa & Laguna Seca).
We can therefore look forward to a thrilling final of the 2023 Racer League. The racers will be racing in the simulators starting at 14:30 CET.
But nothing is certain in the Challenger League either. Swiss driver Janik Pletscher takes an 11-point lead over Marcos Valverde from Spain into the final. The two young drivers will certainly give their all one more time to take home the title.
The Challenger race session starts at 12:50 pm.
This year, the Battle for Glory will mainly take place in our Racing Lounge Munich - the lounge will open for guests at 11:00 a.m., aperitifs and excitement will definitely be provided!
