Learn more about the most advanced steering wheel in racing simulation

The steering wheel used in our simulators is the most advanced of all and comes incredibly close to the F1 steering wheel. Using a variety of levers and buttons, you as a racer can control many of the functions yourself and get the most out of your driving performance.

You want to know more about our advanced steering wheel?

Find out here what functions each lever and button has and how and when to use them. In the following section all functions are listed and explained in detail. Since our steering wheel is still under development, not all functions are active yet. Our employees are working at full speed at the production facility in the Motor Valley of Maranello to make these functions available to you as soon as possible.

Gears, Pit Stop and the DRS

1a + 1b: The gear shift is located on the rear side of the steering wheel. You can shift gears with your fingers around the steering wheel. To shift down, use the lever on the left-hand side, and for higher gears use the lever on the right-hand side. A light tap is all it takes to change to the gear you want.

2: The button "PIT" will transport you back to the box after a crash, from where you can start again. Unfortunately, this button is not yet active.

3: With this green button you can activate the Drag Reduction System (DRS). Pay attention to the screen. On the side of the track you will find signs indicating that you are in a DRS allowed zone. It is not possible to activate the Drag Reduction System in a DRS-free zone.

The Drag Reduction System hydraulically flattens the rear wing during activation to give you more speed on straights. It can therefore play a decisive role during an overtaking manoeuvre.

Set the settings according to your personal level

4: With the button "R" you can shift into reverse gear when the vehicle is in standstill.

5a + 5b: Use the LL and LR buttons to adjust the display according to your preferences. With LL it pans to the left, with LR you can pan it to the right. This function will be available soon.

6: The distribution of braking force between the front and rear axles is described as brake balance (BIAS). Getting the maximum out of the braking potential of the car can significantly improve your performance. If the level is set low, the brake force is on the front axle. The higher the level is chosen, the more the braking force shifts towards the rear axle.

7: Traction Control System (TCS) ensures that the wheels do not spin when starting off with too much throttle or on surfaces with little grip, such as ice, snow or wet cobblestones. The following applies to the rotary switch; the higher the level, the more the system supports you.

8: The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) gives you driving safety by preventing the wheels of the vehicle from locking up during heavy braking, thus enabling safe braking. With this rotary switch, the higher the setting, the sooner the ABS intervenes, resulting in a longer braking distance.

Ready, Set (Level), Go!

9: With the rotary switch "Set Level" you select a difficulty level from 1 - 4, whereby 1 is the easiest level and 4 is the most difficult level. At levels 1 - 3 you ride with various aids, including ABS and TCS. Read here which driving aids you can count on regarding the different levels.

On level 4 you drive without any aids. However, with the rotary switches 8, 9 and 10, you can activate the ABS and TCS systems individually and determine their degree and adjust the brake balance at your discretion. Read more about the four difficulty levels.

N, TALK and the KERS

10: Press the "N" button to shift into neutral.

11: The button "TALK" will soon allow you to talk to other drivers during the race. This button is not yet active.

12: K stands for the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS). Kinetic energy is converted into electrical instead of thermal energy during braking. This energy is then stored in accumulators or supercapacitors. The process is also described as energy recovery and is based on environmentally friendly ulterior motives, as the stored kinetic energy can be reused, whereas the thermal energy escapes as heat. By holding down the K Button, you can release the stored kinetic energy and gain an advantage.
