Impressions of the last Challenge at Spa-Francorchamps

Special circumstances, big fights and a new winner, that is the conclusion of an exciting race day one week ago. Let us have a look back to the 6th Challenge at the legendary race track of Spa-Francorchamps.

Dustin Wüest

The corona virus mixed things up

Because of the Corona pandemic situation, championship leader Michal Smidl and his compatriots from the Czech Varga Racing Team could not make it to Switzerland. As Smidl took every victory before that race it was already certain that we could celebrate a new winner in this years' competition. His name is Dustin Wüest and he was clearly happy about his first victory. He led the field from the start until the finish line as he showed a performance, that no one was able to keep up to. A great battle went down behind him between Ivan Kaufmann and Angelo Michel. Michel almost took P2 but Kaufmann defended well to get his first podium.

Tight battle for our Challengers

We were also able to see a lot of overtakes in the Challenger League. In the end it was Devin Isgro, who took his third victory of the season. He now shares the championship lead with Philipp Baur, who became 3rd in that race. Second became Kevin Aebi, who had the speed to even win the race. In the championship he is separated by only two points to both leaders. It will be exciting to see who is going to hold the top spot at the end of the season. Read below the full race report in order if you missed it or watch the highlight videos from both leagues.
